to the 2024 Business and Community Directory, a year that marks the 132nd year of the Albany Chamber of Commerce and Industry supporting businesses in Albany and the Lower Great Southern.

There have obviously been many developments since 1892, and we have seen vast changes over the past few years as businesses have felt both pressure and support as they navigate through a rapidly growing, transforming and evolving world. As business constantly changes, so too does your Chamber. This year marks not only a change in our logo and branding to better reflect business and community, but a change can also be seen in this directory where we focus more on community, tourism, and showcase Albany for the incredible city that we call home.

Change is exciting, and there is much to be excited about in this new year. We have seen many new businesses emerge which not only contribute to the economic growth in our region, but also provide more opportunities for residents, and show the resilience and strength of our business community.

After 12 years, another big change has happened in Albany with a new Mayor being elected to guide and advance the Albany community into the next phase. Preparations have also commenced for Albany’s bicentenary celebrations in 2026.

In short, there is plenty to be bouyant about! I encourage you to flick through these pages, and support and discover our local businesses, and generally experience the wonderful city of Albany.
