Paula Frackman joined Business Insurance Associates Inc. as commercial insurance and surety broker and senior account executive. Frackman has more than 15 years of commercial insurance industry experience in Alaska.

Sharity Sommer was chosen to serve a oneyear communications internship at the Rasmuson Foundation. Sommer worked for the organization last summer. She graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage last year. Last winter, Sommer traveled to Kenya for volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity. Angela Cox was chosen to serve a six-month, part-time fellowship at the Rasmuson Foundation through an arrangement with Arctic Slope Regional Corp. Cox is director of foundation and endowment development at ASRC. At the Rasmuson Foundation, Cox is working . on the ongoing small-grants program. .

DENALITEK INC.

Mike Ronchetti joined DenaliTEK Inc. as advanced services manager. Ronchetti will handle long-term strategic technology planning, risk assessment services and electronic medical record systems. Dave Schlesinger was hired as technical services manager. Schlesinger has 11 years of experience in the information technology industry.

RESOURCE DATA INC.

Christopher Sowa was hired as a senior programmer/analyst for Resource Data Inc. in Juneau. Sowa has 25 years industry experience, including work as a project leader and manager, business analyst and programmer. Joshua Norris joined RDI as a programmer/ analyst in the Juneau office. Norris, who recently graduated from Midwestern State University, completed several system design and analysis projects with large software engineering teams. Kent Thompson was hired as a project manager/ senior analyst for the Anchorage office. Thompson most recently managed a finance technical group,

He has studied shorebirds and Warnock waterfowl across the state, from the North Slope to the Seward Peninsula to the Yukon-Kuskokwim and Copper River deltas.

Romerdahl Daly Andrew Romerdahl joined Pfeffer Development LLC as a project manager. Romerdahl most recently served as a commercial real estate appraiser with Reliant Advisory Services in Anchorage. He has more than six years experience in real estate, appraisal, finance and property management. Rob Daly was hired as an accounting associate. He most recently served as a customer service representative, personal banker and business-banking specialist with Wells Fargo in Anchorage.

Four attorneys from the Perkins Coie Anchorage office were listed among top U.S. attorneys in Chambers USA. Eric Fjelstad and Brad Keithley were ranked for environment, natural resources and regulated industries specialties. Thomas Daniel was chosen for labor and employment work. Michael Kreger was recognized for work in construction litigation.

Sam Precie joined Business Interiors Northwest as a project manager specializing in health care. Precie recently worked for Providence Health and Services real estate department.

UKPEAGVIK IÑUPIAT CORP.

Forrest Olemaun was chosen president of Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corp. He began at UIC as vice president of Barrow operations. Olemaun is a UIC shareholder, lifelong Barrow resident and a whaling co-captain. He has served on the Olemaun UIC board of directors as chairman. UIC also elected officers to its board: Raynita Hepa, chair; Doreen Knodeel, vice chair; Herman Ahsoak, vice president; and Anthony Edwardsen, treasurer/corporate secretary. Other directors are Fred Kanayurak, Max Ahgeak and Tara Sweeney.

Lisa Rabbe received the national U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Water Resources Planning Excellence Award. Rabbe is a plan formulator in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Alaska District’s Civil Works Branch of Engineering Division. Rabbe led an interagency and academic team to design sustainable
