"Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change” - By Jim Rohn With a demonstrated history working as an account and project manager, I am a self motivated achiever with a passion for design. I love going the extra mile to provide quality service and believe that there is always some way to make something more efficient and effective. I think that life was created for us to be challenged and to make a difference everyday. Design is a rewarding task of having a meaningful impact of individuals. It is about the finer details, the use of materiality and colours that excite the space. 0415 034 310 ALANAG95@HOTMAIL.COM https://www.linkedin.com/in/alana-giovenco-384b68157/

CARRINGTON HOTEL COMMERCIAL | BOUTIQUE HOTEL ‘Life is a Creation’ The surroundings of the Blue Mountains bushland helped the aboriginals on the life cycles of plants and the natural flow of water to ensure an abundance of wildlife and plant foods. The concept is based on the regeneration of the Blue Mountains bushland and how the aboriginals lived. The design is about using minimal resources and sustainable materials that offer low environmental impacts, also considering energy efficiency and durability.

Focusing on curves, textures, and lines which represent the strengths of the bushland in The Blue Mountains.

REDFERN EXHIBITION SPACE COMMERCIAL WAREHOUSE | FOYER “Nothing is randomly chosen, everything is connected” 82-84 George St, Redfern was to be redesigned into an aesthetic approach mixing industrial style with functionality and a relatively neutral backdrop. The concept is about interlocking each spatial area that overlaps the volume of another space using vertical and horizontal lines. A delicate balance of negative and positive space between the raw warehouse envelope and the refined and polished insertion of the objects within.

CONFINED DWELLING RESIDENTIAL Known as the “Tiny House” on Edgeware Rd, Enmore, we were to re-design the interior space using sustainable materials and an innovative, contemporary style that respects the integrity of the original building. Parametric design offers the idea that the design elements are adaptable, creating sweeping lines, irregular shapes and curves to give character to the building. Timber elements have been integrated to bring this concept to life.

BALMAIN HOUSE RESIDENTIAL - WAREHOUSE CONVERSION 2-8 Weston St, Balmain East was to be re-designed from a warehouse space to a contemporary house for a couple. The couple will live in the Hunter Valley, but will stay at the Sydney house to take a break from their rustic lifestyle. Hosting gatherings, drinking wine, seeing live performances and music is what reflects the couple. The clients needs have inspired the concept of connection, which is reflected in the spatial layout. The Harbour bridge will be the main focal point and creates a connection to a sense of place.
