7. Safety Information

Fire Safety What to do in the event of a fire in the building you are in: • Do not try to extinguish the fire yourself unless it is small and you are confident of your ability to extinguish it. There are fire extinguishers around the buildings that are fire specific. • If you hear the alarm sound, please leave the building in a calm and orderly fashion and close the door behind you to prevent smoke and other toxic gases escaping. • Do not use the elevator. • Go down to the ground floor by the stairs without rushing. • Locate the nearest exits to you. Clarify your escape route and make a note of the number of doors that are on the way out so as not to get lost in the event of power failure or a smoke-filled corridor. • Go to the assembly point and wait until they are sure of the presence of all those who were in the building.
