A MESSAGE FROM THE BASILEUS

Count Your Blessings!

Thanksgiving is the perfect time to Count your blessings if you have not already done so. This year has been filled with some interesting occurrences and devastating events, but we made it in spite of it. While we may not have all that we want or all that some others may have, we are alive and there’s still hope.

When counting your blessings, you can start with the things we often take for granted, things like:

1. Waking up to see another day.

2. Indoor plumbing.

3. Food to eat.

4. A Friend who cares enough to remind you how blessed you are if you need reminding.

5. The ability to practice your faith.

6. Having someone who calls just to check in on you.

7. Clean air to breathe.

8. The ability to move about with minimum aches and pains.

9. A roof over your head.

10. A good book to read and the freedom to walk into a library and check out a book if you choose.

Choose to be happy. Choose to make a difference and to be a part of the solution not the problem. Choose to give out of your overflow.

Decide that life is good, and you are worth being happy. Believe that you have been blessed with everything you need to get everything done you’ve been called to do – and you have! Steadfastly refuse to let anything steal your joy. Choose to be happy...and you will be.

Choose to be a blessing and choose to practice random acts of Kindness.

Happy Thanksgiving Sorors,
