Columbus, OH – On Monday, January 16, 2023, while most people were enjoying a day off, Psi Eta Omega was enjoying a day on to provide “service to all mankind” Twenty-seven chapter members alongside nine young ladies from the chapter’s AKAelites youth group gathered together to collect items for two local organizations: CelebrateOne and CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence CelebrateOne helps pregnant women and new moms have a healthy pregnancy and first year CHOICES is an organization that provides services and support for victims of domestic violence This community event yielded hundreds of items that will assist these organizations in continuing to make a significant impact in the lives of the people they serve

Eta Iota Omega Chapter hosted its third Annual Virtual Leadership AKAdemy Cochaired by Phyllis E Robinson, Ph D , 22nd Great Lakes Regional Director and 2nd International Regional Director, and Sheliah P Clay, M A , PhD (h c ), the academy is designed to develop and enhance leadership skills Speakers included: 27th Great Lakes Regional Director Charlene Truitt Nelson, Soror Cathy Hughes, S W A G Educator of the Year, Rakbia L Mitchell, Soror Kim Hearns, Soror Sommer Woods, Former Chapter Basilei Renee Micou and Ruthie Bufford As a member of the planning committee, Soror Mitchell created an electronic leadership “tool-kit” giving sorors the opportunity to delve deeper into topics discussed throughout the year

Lansing, MI- Following the national initiative to “Empower Our Families,” the members of Delta Tau Omega Chapter are extremely appreciative of the support we received for our We Are One AKA Day of Service project in observance of MLK Day With the help of our friends, family, Youth Service America, the Mott Foundation, Michigan Community Service Commission, and Eleven (11) Events, we donated over 400 household cleaning and personal care items for the residents at Homeless Angels and Haven House We even had enough items to make an additional donation to the Advent House Ministries Thank you, Greater Lansing community!
