SOARING IN SERVICE ON MLK DAY
Rho Omega members (LEFT) served side-by-side in their AKA Sister Squads creating lunch kits. The sorority prepared 90 lunches containing non-perishable items of a protein lunch item, fruit, breakfast item and juice. Forty lunches were given to Bridges of Hope, an overnight shelter open to any resident of Greene County, OH. The remaining 50 lunches were gifted to The Cat Corner (free pantry for students) at Springfield High School, Springfield, OH. Students are allowed to pick up food and personal items from the high school pantry, as needed.
Alpha Sigma Omega members (RIGHT) were found all over the Central Ohio area volunteering and participating in activities for their We Are One – MLK Day of Service. From the wonderfully planned and executed MLK Breakfast to the Ohio History Connection, Capital University, The Lincoln Theatre and the MLK Walk, sorors in pink and green were present and serving. Collectively, sorors in this chapter logged over 1,000 hours and 10 sorors either reactivated or transferred into the chapter. These sorors deserve a pat on the back. Great work! Keep soaring in service!
