4 Helping you understand and manage driving risk The information in section 2 of this handbook is about helping you lower your risk as a driver. It will help you understand the risks you face, why drivers do some of the things they do and what can be done to lower the risk of crashing. You have a responsibility to yourself and other road users to become a low risk driver.
