Vertical Centrifugal Pumps • Cantilever pumps are another name for vertical centrifugal pumps. These pumps have a unique shaft and a design that allows the volume to fall into the pit since the bearings are outside. This pump does not employ a filling container to cover the shaft, instead opting for a throttle bushing. The most common application for this type of pump is a parts washer.


4. Horizontal Centrifugal Pumps • These pumps have a minimum of two impellers but may have more. Pumping services make use of these pumps. Every stage is, at its core, a divide pump. Piston Pumps • Positive displacement pumps that use a piston to suction and discharge pressure are called piston pumps. These pumps are used in situations where high, consistent pressure is required. High head water pumps are manufactured using the latest motor and piston technology. As the piston goes backward, void space is created in the pump casing, which causes a vacuum to pull fluid into the pump. • A non-return valve is inserted in the pump's suction to prevent fluid from escaping. As the pump piston lowers, the chamber will pressurize, and fluid will be expelled from the discharge. The pump piston will continue to move up and down, and the pump will operate normally. These are employed in various structures to facilitate the circulation of liquid fluids.
