that NASA labored all those years and, at the last moment, failed to realize its goal. The whole intention was to visit the moon and, for whatever reason, the ship just couldn’t land and had to return home. Well, it has been said the actual landing, as momentous as it was, did not compare to the scientific and medical discoveries made during the overall process of getting there. Stronger and lighter alloys, better computer technologies, better nutritional supplements, were all discovered as spin-offs of NASA’s intention to land on the moon.
