When we traveled through Newark Airport last summer, one thing that really stood out was the thoughtful design of the Newark Airport Smoking Area. Traveling with my elderly father, who is a smoker, sometimes brings extra challenges. At Newark, it was different. We found smoking areas outside Terminal B that were very accessible and provided benches and plenty of room. The Newark Airport was clean and even partially sheltered, which helped a lot since it started raining during our wait. It was nice to see how well these spaces are maintained. While my father had a smoke, the rest of the family relaxed nearby without feeling inconvenienced. Newark Airport did a fantastic job making sure that smokers had a place to go without disturbing non-smokers. It was also easy to find the areas thanks to the clear signage. Overall, Newark Airport made our family trip a lot easier and less stressful.
