This has enabled her to refocus her outcomes and priorities. “This year, we decided to turn the company from a for-profit into a social enterprise. As an organisation, we do not define our success in the profit we accrue, but in the social impact that we have. Many of our peer organisations restrict their learning resources for competitive advantage, however we want to continue to share our learning resources openly and freely. We do not want to be limited by competitive constraints, but be free to engage, learn across boundaries and have an impact.” Caroline has exciting plans for the future of 3Spirit, as well as what plans she has for her own career “Moving forward, I hope that the 3Spirit brand will continue to

inspire, educate and challenge, enabling organizations to deliver the best, and most progressive care. “With regard to my own future plans, I am just about to embark on a PhD (Doctorate in Dementia) where I will be able to explore corporate responsibility in social care, specifically by looking at the social enterprise model and what innovation this might bring to the current demographic challenges that we have in care supporting an ageing population.”
