Guideline for E-mails to TN Managers

2. Remember to also state the earliest date you can start and the latest date you can leave. These are also crucial information in the matching process.

1. State clearly your EPID and the TNID you’re interested in, in the subject line and the beginning of your e-mail. Also, introduce yourself. This is very important because without these, you will not be able to match.

3. In the main paragraphs, state the reasons why you think you’re suitable for this TN. If possible, relate your experiences in AIESEC and their LC. 4. Lastly, don’t forget to mention your attached CV, give your contact details, and to end with a warm conclusion!

Points to Note: *Remember to CC your EP Manager every e-mail sent! *Try to cater to the requirements of the Job description of the TN. *This is only one of the ways the e-mail can be written. Try to be creative! Fall 2011 eXchange Newsletter | AIESEC-LC-HKUST 1112

Words from a Foreign

AIESECer Hey,

! g n o K g n o H C E S E AI

My name is Valeriia. I am more than sure that you have dreamed about going faaaaar away...Meeting new people and making international friends, Experiencing new country and culture, and is it not a time to do it? You know, there are a lot of places in the world where you can combine all the above-mentioned things. One of them called Ukraine and it is my country. Ukraine is situated in Eastern Europe. I am not sure if you have heard about it but believe me – Ukraine is wonderful and unique by itself! It is really worth experiencing all it`s environment, nature, history and culture, feeling it`s atmosphere. Essence of our country was created by different cultures mixed in one. In Ukraine you can find something from Greece, Turkey, Poland, Russia and many more countries. But of course also from Ukraine! Every piece of Ukrainian land is beautiful. And one more thing - Ukraine has a soul. Oh, yes, it does have it! The soul is our people. Internationals see us as really hospitable, open-minded, cheerful, sometimes crazy and kind. Believe me, they are right. Moreover, we are also internationals because in Ukraine you can meet people of about 140 nationalities who just live here.

AIESEC in Ukraine has 17 years history and at the moment contains 18 representatives. Here we have several picks of realization of our projects: all year long- I am not kidding! But the biggest are from June to August and from December to February. Ukraine is mostly about providing GCDP in social and educational sphere. Also have some GIP opportunities but not too many. As GCDP we have social projects based on working with pupils and children – Children Path (December-January), World Without Borders (January-February), Green Rush (FebruaryApril), Summer Camp (June-August) etc., and the main educational is act.in.UA (FebruaryMarch) – target audience is people interested in starting up a business. When great idea to come to Ukraine visits your mind do not be afraid of it! When you have a desire impossible is nothing. Just chose internship you like, book tickets, get visa and come. I have told you some info about internships in Ukraine and another thing to mention is the visa. Usually it takes about 2 weeks to get it (after the moment your application has been submitted). For visa application AIESEC in Ukraine provides you with Invitation Letter so it is kinda easier to get it. Embassy of Ukraine is situated in China. So think it over and I hope to see you soon in Ukraine! P.S. If you have some questions about Ukraine or our projects feel free to approach me via mail: valeriia.kulko aiesec.net @
