Sunday: After being picked up from home we enjoy our outward journey to Blackpool, where we enjoy some free time. Following Dinner this evening, our very own illuminated tram will pick us up outside the Hilton Blackpool Hotel and take us on a magical journey through Blackpool’s famous spectacle. We return to the hotel for coffee and dessert. Monday: Following breakfast we leave the hotel and make the journey home with a stop en-route, arriving back at Birch Services at approx. 2:00pm. SATURDAY 18TH OCTOBER 2014 (5 DAYS) Situated on the south coast in Cornwall, Looe is a favourite holiday destination with a fine beach, shops, cafes, a working harbour and has a lovely riverside location. We stay at The Portbyhan Hotel which has recently undergone a £1.2 million refurbishment. We operated a ‘Mystery Tour’ to this hotel in February 2014 and we had some great reports back about the hotel. The Portbyhan Hotel ~ 3 Star We are delighted to be working with this newly refurbished hotel which is situated in an unrivalled position in the heart of West Looe, overlooking all the hustle & bustle of Looe’s working fishing harbour. The Cathedral usually holds two identical Carol Services this afternoon, however, entry is strictly by ticket only (not included). Thursday ~ Christmas Day: Merry Christmas! A continental
style buffet breakfast followed by a morning of relaxation. There will be coffee served throughout the morning with drinks & canapés before a traditional Christmas Fayre. Board games will be available during your visit. This afternoon watch the Queen’s speech or take a nap prior to tea & Christmas cake. This evening enjoy a typical British Christmas Day Evening Buffet followed by the Christmas Tree Raffle (£1 per ticket - with all proceeds going to charity) and a treasure hunt.
Friday ~ Boxing Day: Following breakfast we enjoy a trip out
on the coach where you have the choice of going to either Westwood Cross shopping centre to look for those Boxing Day Sales or if you prefer some free time in Broadstairs. We return to the hotel in time for a light informal lunch. This evening there will be a Gala Dinner with prizes for the best dressed, Christmas Cabaret & Disco.
Saturday: Following breakfast we leave the hotel and make our journey home.
PLEASE NOTE: The hotel management have requested that each passenger take a small wrapped present for the Christmas Tree. The presents will be raffled during your stay (£1 per ticket) and all proceeds will go to the hotels chosen charity.
Wednesday ~ Christmas Eve: A lovely scenic tour today as we make our way to Ullswater and follow the shore to Glenridding. We continue over rugged Kirkstone Pass, with the lonely inn at the summit and then descend to Windermere & Bowness. Here we take a break for an opportunity to explore. This afternoon we enjoy a cruise on Lake Windermere to Lakeside, with tea/coffee & biscuits served onboard. Later we make our way back via Kendal and over Shap Fells to the hotel. Before dinner this evening we have an illustrated talk - ‘Shap Wells & a little bit of Cumbria’. Following dinner we are entertained by a cabaret singer. Thursday ~ Christmas Day: Merry Christmas! Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, open your presents and maybe take a stroll to work up that appetite for a Traditional Christmas lunch. Relax this afternoon, listen to the Queen’s Speech while tea & Christmas cake are served. Dinner tonight is buffet style and we are entertained with a little light comedy & magic. Friday ~ Boxing Day: We begin with a drive taking us to Appleby the former county town of Westmoreland - and the pleasant town of Penrith. Here we have tea/coffee & mince pies at the former coaching inn, The George Hotel. We have some free time in Penrith before returning to the hotel for a light buffet lunch. This afternoon is free to relax, maybe enjoy a board game. Dinner this evening is followed by Race Night.

In the afternoon we head to Porthmadog before returning to the hotel. Following dinner tonight we enjoy an evening of fun & games with a glass of bubbly at Midnight to see in 2015.

Thursford Christmas Spectacular TWO DATES AVAILABLE: The show has a £3m budget and is a three-hour fast moving celebration of the festive season featuring an eclectic fusion of the seasonal and sacred with famous chart topping pop favourites being sung alongside traditional Christmas Carols. It is now generally recognised as being the largest show of its kind in the country, if not Europe. With a cast of 130 professional singers, dancers and musicians the range covers everything from solo singers, to a full four part coral number with amazing dancing and costumes.
A Chirstmas Show Not To Be Missed! The Best Western Brook Hotel, Norwich (3 Star) ~ The Brook Hotel, Norwich is located approximately 4 miles from the city centre and is an ideal base for our tour. All of the ensuite bedrooms have direct-dial telephone, flat screen TV with freeview, individually controlled heating, hairdryer and tea/ coffee makers. The hotel offers a Restaurant & Bar. Sorry No Lift, but ground floor bedrooms are available.
Monday 10th November 2014 (3 Days) ~ Matinee Performance of the show on Tuesday Itinerary: : We travel to Norfolk and on to our hotel. Evening Meal at the hotel. : Following breakfast we leave the hotel and make our way to the pretty Georgian Market Town of Holt, where we enjoy some free time. From here we continue to Thursford where there will be time to look around the site prior to the matinee performance of the Thursford Christmas Spectacular. Following the show we make our way back to the hotel in time for dinner. Wednesday: We leave the hotel and make our journey home. Monday Tuesday
Wednesday 26th November 2014 (3 Days) ~ Evening Performance of the show on Thursday Itinerary: Wednesday: We travel to Norfolk and on to our hotel. Evening Meal at the hotel. Thursday : Our coach transports us into Norwich for some free time to explore. We return to the hotel in time for an early meal prior to our departure for Thursford. We have time to look round the Thursford site prior to the evening production of the ‘Thursford Christmas Spectacular’. Friday : We leave the hotel and make our journey home.
