[[ Out of use tyres are a heavy source of pollution and their elimination is regulated by RD. At the moment they are recycled by treatment plants that reduce their size and on occasions they develop new uses. The present project developed by AICIA consists of an appraisement of these residuals by means of their transformation into acoustic materials. For the development of the project a device has been built for the quantification of the coefficient of absorption for normal incidence, according to the ASTM 1050 norm. In the same way, an analysis system has been built that allows acoustic characterization of the material in study. The project is at present in development phase. ]

[[ Development of an innovative technique for curing composite materials, consisting in the polymerization of pre-peg tapes using an electron beam almost simultaneously to the deposition of the tape. This technique also incorporates ultrasonic de-bulking before curing with the electron beam. The final objective is to obtain a full out-of-autoclave technique which can be employed for the manufacturing high quality composite components. ]
