Architects District Days

In August 2022, AIA Pittsburgh architects met or spoke with local representatives in their districts as part of District Days, AIA Pennsylvania’s premier advocacy event. Members got to know their legislators and shared architects’ ability to help solve some of the state’s toughest public health and economic challenges.

The primary goal of these meetings was to build relationships with legislators through discussion around members’ practice, business / clients, firms, and life in the district. Member participants were briefed on their meetings with a webinar and “blueprint” guide covering Pennsylvania politics, pre-meeting, in-meeting, and post-meeting steps to advocate, and helpful dos and don’ts.
