The Mulhall-Orlando FFA is starting the year off strong. We have several members who have achieved national recognition for their outstanding projects. To be considered for national honors, members must first compete at the state level and qualify for the National FFA contests. The following members are representing Mulhall-Orlando in the 2021 National Competitions.

Lora Golay and Hanna Schmidt are National Finalists in the Agriscience Fair competition. Their project focused on the educational standards taught through the New Horizons magazine. They will defend their paper in an interview in September and represent the chapter at National FFA convention in October.

KayLea Taylor is a National Finalist in the Agriculture Education Proficiency Award. Her SAE centers around the creation of a goat showmanship camp and the education of youth across Oklahoma on goat production. KayLea’s application was selected as one of only four finalists that will interview and compete for the national championship, which will be announced at National FFA Convention.

Baylee Brown ranked Gold in the Swine Entrepreneurship Proficiency. The rank of Gold designates her as the Top 10% of all proficiency awards in the nation. Baylee’s SAE focuses on the Production of Pork from farrow to finish. Baylee will receive a medal for her FFA jacket to signify this award.

Congratulations to all of the students for their outstanding accomplishments!
