Students observed and learnt about signs and symbols which convey rules and warnings for a smooth ride in a Rapid Metro ride
Students understood importance of signs and symbols as a way of communication
Reflections on Rapid Metro ride
Children used self management skills to make a map relating to a story created by them using signs and symbols. They made a legend for their map to communicate the meaning of the same.
Children played the game of ‘Treasure Hunt’ in groups. Each group made symbols for different areas of primary school which were placed along the route to the treasure. The other team interpreted the symbols to get to the treasure. They drew the path they followed on the primary school map of the hiding team.
Symbols for the IB Learner Profile Attributes were created by children.
SYMBOLS IN DANCE- Children learnt about the use of mudras in Indian dance to communicate expressions and feelings- some reflections.
Summative assessment- Students chose different areas in school – atrium, cafeteria, swings and other common public places- hospital, swimming pool, restaurant . They created signs and symbols to depict their understanding on relevance of signs in our daily lives.
Students created new letters in form of symbols and used them to write their names.
HINDI-Students wrote stories and shared with their peers.
Maths- Learning about angles using Jodo straws to make angles in different orientations
Students identified different patterns in odd and even numbers
