abbGrowers quality by innovative sorting and packaging system abbGrowers B.V. is specialized in growing, sorting and packing of blueberries and asparagus, since 2014. In a highly modern production facility with the latest equipment, the asparagus and blueberries are sorted and packaged according to the customers unique specifications. Deliveries take place all year round. Innovative technology The latest machinery we use from BBC Technologies, has a unique rolling conveyor system that singulates and rotates blueberries to allow for complete 360 degree surface inspection. Cameras take multiple pictures of each piece of fruit and are capable of identifying defects down to 0,2 mm ensure a maximum level of accuracy in sorting for size, color, softness, bruising, decay, dehydrations, stems, peeling and scarring. Worldwide, year-round Deliveries take place all year round, because in addition to asparagus (white and green) and blueberries from Dutch soil, growers in countries like Spain, Portugal, Poland, Kosovo, Serbia, Argentina, Chile and Peru, supply fruit and vegetables for packing outside the Dutch season. Direct contact with the grower guarantees reliable, flexible and fast deliveries. Quality assured Traceability of products, inside and outside the company, is ensured. Quality standards stipulated in BRC and HACCP certifications are reflected throughout the company, so that key players in the retail market at home and abroad can be assured that the quality of the work at abbGrowers is to the highest standard. With BRC (British Retail Consortium) standard the requirement of HACCP and quality systems, demands on the environment of the factory and requirements for the product, process and personnel, are all met. The freshness of the product is of great importance. The maintenance of the right temperature, to ensure proper cooling, is decisive for the quality. Therefore, it is closely monitored and maintained in every link of the chain. Biological - Skal certified Since September 2017 abbGrowers is Skal certified. Therefore we are allowed to store, pack and distribute biological fruit and vegetables. As a control authority, Skal is dedicated to proving the reliability of organic products in the Netherlands. A product may only be called organic if the production process complies with legal regulations. b-berry abbGrowers specializes not only in fresh blueberries, but frozen blueberries and processed products like jam, juice and liquor can be supplied all year round. b-berry is our own brand, which distinguishes itself by taste and quality, and the packaging has a striking, colorful, fresh look.
