Again, with World Championship #2 and the team is keeping score! The key word here is t-e-a-m. Maybe historically it’s the greatest team baseball has seen since. You tell me… the Atlanta Braves magical years, New York Yankees dynasty, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, or maybe even my favorite childhood dominant team, the Cincinnati Reds! The Big Red Machine…

Here are my written words never published in September 2022.

Houston Astros 2022 may be the best team put together ever in Houston, at least from a pitching perspective with their newest talent Hunter Brown showing off his abilities in his first major league game with six hitless innings of pitching. Just like any year in baseball it’s all about health between Justin Verlander, and Lance McCullers and being ready and able to finish the playoffs and World Series on a healthy note. The bullpen or Pitching staff is loaded with the likes of Framber Valdez, Cristian Javier, Jose Urquidy, Luis Garcia, and the list goes on…Regarding the Astros “hitting”, raises some questions. Now, can the big man Yordan Álvarez get back to form and stay healthy? Alex Bregman coming around to his old form and being that threat at the plate as he always has been. José Altuve is durable and reliable…the man of the hour when it counts and Astro’s constant Allstar. New additions include Tray Mancini and Christian Vázquez with their hitting, making a difference right from the start with the Astros.

This Astros team answered the bell when it came to the Yankees during the season and the Mets, much to the surprise and delight of every Houston fan. The National baseball league and Vegas have finally come around making the Houston Astros the odds favorite to represent the American League in the World Series. How about those Dodgers… they have a great team this year, as well as smashing all kinds of team records with their hitting, pitching, and fielding! One more year, Astro fans are having a lot of fun and excitement watching baseball with anticipation, knowing we have a shot if the baseball gods and a little bit of luck fall our way again. No “trash cans” are necessary this year bringing home another trophy to H-Town. World Series champions 2022, Our Houston Astros are in the mix. Let's finish the cake and eat Houston!

Unbelievable… and the possibility became the manifested reality for The Astro’s. Look out MLB because it’s coming back, and this TEAM is not done! Pitching? Let me finish the list! I missed mentioning Bryan Abreu, Rafael Montero (signed 23-24) Hector Neris, Josh James, J.P. France, Ryan Stanek, Hunter Brown, and one more Aahhh… Oh YAAAA Ryan Pressley! Batting? MVP 2023 Mr. Tucker (Ted) Mr. Yuli Sir, MVP 2022 Jeremy, and Magic Man McCormick! Defense? It doesn’t get better than two guys, the boss Maldonado, and Winner Vasquez behind the plate. The owner Jim Crane is doing it right, and he is holding the ship together even though he had to change the two biggest positions that determine if you’re a Champion or 2nd place 99.9% of the time. Two championships, two different GMs, and coaches! Dusty Baker is back signed and on board. Mr. Click has departed but does a great job for years of keeping it healthy and in great condition. I believe Mr. Crane will continue to be the Leader of a great organization that leads from top to bottom, Teamwork!
