On Dec. 1, 2021, Washington AFRO General and Circulation Manager Edgar Brookins died after a long battle with prostate cancer. After a three decade career with the AFRO and receiving the nickname, Mr. D.C., many people are sending in memories of Brookins over the years. As Brookins led the social page for the Washington AFRO for many years, the AFRO will continue to honor his life and legacy through the Lifestyle page. Rest in peace and power, Mr. B!
