Karingal Bullettes

With our A girls having a rest this week we headed to Dingley to play Chelsea on what was a cold and windy day. All 3 teams gave it their all and didn’t give up. Our teams have improved throughout the year and as we are playing Karingal on our last game we hope they will continue to push through and give them a run for their money. A big thank you to our sponsors Frankston Hyundai, Chelgrave Contracting, A-Z Automotive and T & S Messina. We would also like to say well done to Peninsula Umpires who have been great to deal with and umpired all season for us. it’s great now to have our supporters being able to watch the netball and football in one venue and our lights will soon be installed to enable us to train there as well. As a club we are proud of the girls who have battled hard this year and never dropped their heads or complained when games haven’t gone their way. Good luck to all teams in finals we hope to be there competing in them next season with a vengence. Go Pythonettes

Edithvale - Aspendale Eagles Round 18 v Mornington The MKA - Machine Knives Australia Round A big thank you to our long time netball dress sponsor, MKA ! Noel & Vanessa have been fantastic & loyal supporters of our club since day one, when our teams first took to the court in 2010! Thank you for your years of support!! Looking forward to 2018, we will be updating our dresses. We will have a new look, new design & we’re looking for a new dress sponsor. The MKA name has been synonymous with our successful netballers since 2010 & they have received great exposure every time our girls have taken the court. If you would like yours or your business name on our uniforms for the next 6-8 years, contact Helen on 0402459531. Every girl, every game will be flying your colours alongside the mighty Eagle. What an opportunity! Last week we played Seaford at Linen House. It’s great to play the Tigers as they are always a fair & tough opposition & last week was no exception. The game of the round was definitely the A grade contest with our girls breaking away in the last quarter to grab the four points. Today in the final round of the home & away season we welcome Mornington to Dingley in what we hope will be our last “home” game there. We thank SDNA for all their support over the last three years & we look forward to our two new courts at Regents Park. The word is that these will be ready for round one next year! At last, after 8 years of a nomad existence, we will have a true home! Soar Eagles!!

Last week’s home game at the Bullpit were a success. D grade’s finals hopes are hinging on other results this week. Last week they were back to the form that we know they are capable of. Chantelle played her best game of the season and Gab continues to improve in her new role. C grade took on a much improved Bonbeach side. Extending their lead each quarter and playing with seven, Steph was a stand out when she moved to WA with her spot on feeds into goals. Kiah also impressed with her first game in GD for the season. B grade had an excellent win with the whole team contributing. A stand out in goals was captain Emily - effortlessly shooting from all over the circle. While up the other end - Michelle was intercepting everything that came her way. Ash the work horse in the mid court shut down the feeds into the goal third. A grade stepped onto the court for the final home game of the season and didn’t disappoint. Jayde played exceptionally well - even though she was sick. Mards was back in D with the captain combining well. Great work by all four squads to take the four points. This week we travel to Pines to take on the Pythons in the last game of the home and away round before we head into finals. #GOBULLS #REDWHITEBOOM

Last week we played Mornington on Sunday, what a change it was to play outdoors with the sun shining! D GRADE had a tough game against a very physical Mornington side. Both teams had a lot to play for & unfortunately the bulldogs walked away victorious on the day by just 6 goals. Jade contributed well in the mid court while Liv & Krystal had their hands full but did a great job in defence. C GRADE were dominant from the start of the game & built as each quarter went by, they clicked in all areas of the court & walked away winning by 20 goals. Tiarne was a great addition in defence while Karen R was dominant in goals. C grade locked in their finals position with this win. B GRADE secured their finals spot a few weeks ago, but were not ready to lie down & take it easy, they too were dominant the entire game. Carly & Bec combined well in goals while Julia & Di were an absolute headache for the opposition goalers. B grade secured a handy 22 goal win. The A GRADE game was always going to be a thriller with both teams playing for their finals position. We were impressive at the start of the game & led the whole time, however were really tested by the dogs. It got down to 1 goal with a couple of minutes but the Mounties managed to maintain possession & win by just 2 goals. Bridget stepped up this week & really took control in the goal circle, while it was great to have Jess back also. Next week we play Langwarrin at home & will be hoping for 4 good wins to finish the season!!
