Club Notes We hosted Langwarrin 2 weeks ago at the kennel & the Seniors came out of the blocks well leading at quarter time 3.5 to 2.0. Mick McGowan was relishing ruck duties & Broden Bird continued his good form coming up from the 19’s with Xavier Barry-Murphy was finding plenty of space on the wing. Dominating the play we found ourselves 31 points up at half time and with a win in the air the boys put the foot down and finished off the second half winning by 63 points. The margin would’ve been bigger but poor kicking in front of goal saw us kick 12.23. Warwick Miller and Jake Smart dominated across half back and Joel Miller continued his wonderful season. In the Ressies for the first half the boys came to play with us going in at half time with a slight lead and playing some good footy.The start of the second half we didn’t score a goal until the third quarter and that made it hard for the rest of the game and we went down by a couple of goals. The result makes it tough for the rest of the season, but we are not going to throw in the towel just yet & keep fighting for the rest of the season. The 19’s after 80 minutes of super competitive footy against a strong Langy team we fell just short of the mark. Our last month has been really consistent and has had us in winning positions late in our matches. With just an ounce of good fortune our ladder position may have look a lot more attractive. We are very confident that this groups best footy is front of us. Go Doggies WOOF WOOF
