The Basic Rules of AP Style 1. Full name on first reference, last name from then on. 2. Capitalize the title if it's before the name, use lowercase from then on. 3. Spell out numbers one through nine, then use numerals. 4. Use numerals for ages, addresses and years. 5. Don't start a sentence with a number. 6. Spell percent out rather than using the % sign. 7. Spell organizations out the first time, then abbreviate. 8. Capitalize Internet. 9. Toward, not towards. 10. Just put one space between sentences .
