Diamond Invitational Football Classic The Diamond Invitational Football Classic was equally created to raise awareness and funding for the noteworthy causes: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Virginia State University Athletic Department. Since its inception, Diamond Invitational Football Classic (DIFC) earned the support to elevate its mission beyond the borders of Virginia. Through this alliance DIFC will develop an intrinsic adaptation and urban development as the heart of the city festivities. DIFC also affords a four-year contract with Virginia State University to assure its continuous growth.

#Festivities The week of September 16-21, 2013 Petersburg, VA will be hosting several crowd drawing events, Diamond Invitational Football Classic National Press Conference, Celebrity Golf Tournament, Run for Life 5K, Barbecue-Blues-and-Bikes Fest, and most importantly the DIFC’s game featuring the following: Virginia State University “Trojans” vs. Kentucky State University “Toroughbreds.”

#What is the Heart of DIFC The Diamond Invitational Football Classic festivities will have a longstanding tradition, aimed to draw families, alumni and college students from Virginia and surrounding states. Included in the price of will be memorable performances by nationally known recording artists, who will have the crowd signing along and dancing in the aisles.
