Mission Statement
St Augustine’s School is a Catholic community of life-long learners empowered by Gospel values to shape and enrich our world.
Our school community endeavours to nurture and educate each individual intellectually, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Principal’s Message
Welcome to St Augustine’s Parish Primary School Business Directory.
Since 1926 St Augustine’s has established itself as a supportive, spiritual and studentcentred learning environment. Our culture is founded on the Charism of the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (1926-1949) and Missionary Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception (1950-1992). We continue to live these ideals in our everyday life at St Augustine’s. Likewise, St Augustine profoundly influences how we meet the challenges of educating students today. Our school expectations align with the charism of St Augustine. We support all students to meet our schoolwide expectations Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be a Learner.
In 2023, St Augustine’s celebrates 97 years of education in Coolangatta and Currumbin Waters. It is our 36th year on the site at Currumbin Waters. As we embark on a new journey, join with us in this exciting phase to help shape the future of St Augustine’s Parish Primary School. I am proud to be part of this school community.
Families are at the centre of St Augustine’s and we look forward to developing further opportunities to strengthen our community. This business directory enables us to support the members of the school community by empowering our families to support each other.
Our door is always open to new families in the surrounding area. I invite you to visit our school and experience its vibrancy first-hand.
Blessings, John Cameron PrincipalSchool Prayer
God our Father,
We thank you for the gifts that you give us today. Bless us in all that we do, and guide us in the choices that we make.
Help us to care for one another, and look after those who need special care.
May we learn something new today, and when things get hard, help us to keep trying. Fill our day with peace.

Our planet and it’s people are hurting in so many ways, in so many places. Every pain, no matter the size, desperate for attention, solutions and change. BRAUS Foundation was founded with a vision to support our planet and it’s people by changing lives. Our focus is intentionally wide, enabling us to address multiple challenges simultaneously, simply providing a lifeline to people, communities and environments in need, without restriction. With open ears and an open heart, we listen to the community and act promptly for humanity with compassion, commitment and care.
OUR STORY
In 2014, BRAUS Fight, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu attire brand was born, conceived by two young Australian/ Brazilian families with a shared vision to change the world. To the naked eye of the jiu-jitsu industry and it’s followers, the brand was conceived with the purpose of growing the sport and providing high quality, reliable, modern gear to train and compete in. This was never the only purpose. The brand established itself comfortably in the market place before introducing it’s primary purpose of setting out to create a better tomorrow for the world. It was, since conception, the plan to leverage the success of BRAUS Fights exposure for the greater good of all in the form of a not-for-profit which aspires to create an equal minimum standard for heath & wellbeing, education & opportunity globally. Put simply, to touch hearts and change lives.
Our community based Rolling 4 A Reason initiative was the original gateway for our social work, with over 20 projects completed before in 2022, BRAUS Foundation was born. Our legally registered ACNC charity (Australian Charities and Non-For-Profit Commission) has branches in Australia, Brazil, Nepal and Pakistan where we run localised projects supporting those in dire need of help.
OUR WORK
Our focus is intentionally wide, enabling us to address multiple challenges simultaneously; simply providing a lifeline to people, communities and environments in need, without restriction. With open ears and an open heart, we listen to the community and act promptly for humanity with compassion, commitment and care.
Some of our current projects spread across the globe include:
• Providing all basic needs for orphanages; including quality education
• Building water wells, providing access to clean and safe drinking water to rural communities
• Food drives, providing food basics to families with nothing
• Building a well equipped school, supporting 6 rural villages with no education options
• Providing financial support and opportunity to disadvantaged children and young adults
• Sponsorship, gear and memberships to those recognised as having disabilities and those facing mental health challenges.
OUR 100% PROMISE –WHY WE ARE DIFFERENT
BRAUS Foundation is a privately run not-for-profit charity focused on impact, relying completely on volunteers with a shared vision to Change Lives. Our unique 100% transparency model guarantees all funds donated reach our projects in full. We ensure this by covering all operating costs of the Foundation via philanthropists, including BRAUS Fight. Donors can rest easy knowing their funds are doing what they were intended for.
