Young woman decides to follow Jesus

The Lismore Church celebrated the baptism of 12-year-old Cierra Foster on May 6 at Gawandii Beach. Church pastor Tim Merritt, with whom Cierra has been studying the Bible for three years, conducted the baptism.

Numerous family members attended Miss Foster's special day, including her grandmother, who had just completed a night shift as a nurse. Both her great-grandmother and great-grandfather were present, beaming with pride and joy. Miss Foster's sisters and cousins contributed with beautiful music for the occasion, with the hymn Nothing but the Blood of Jesus accompanying her emergence from the water.

When asked about her decision to be baptised, Miss Foster's expressed her desire to become a follower of Jesus. Having studied the Bible and learned the true meaning of baptism, she eagerly embraced this significant step in her spiritual journey. The ceremony beautifully marked Miss Foster's inspiring choice to dedicate her life to following Jesus faithfully.
