Advanced Charger Technology (ACT) was founded in 1996 and has become a leading manufacture of battery charging, analyzing and battery maintenance solutions. This US-based privately-held manufacturing company prides itself on being a leader world wide, in battery management technology. ACT’s exclusive iCHARGE™ series of battery chargers, conditioners,and analyzers was developed to meet the demanding and diverse needs of the rechargeable battery industries where superior battery management is critical. The patented iCHARGE™ line of products offers innovative solutions using real time feedback to monitor the state of the battery throughout the process. This technology constantly employs varying positive and negative charges which respond to the needs of the individual battery to maximize the efficiency of each cycle. The iCHARGE™ micro controller determines the condition of the battery and responds with an individualized charging algorithm to each battery throughout the charging cycle.

Valesco was founded in 1999 with the goal of developing the most technically advanced custom industrial battery management system available. The objectives were to ensure that high volume day-to-day battery users could have complete confidence in their batteries without needing any field maintenance as well as to give maintenance technicians the proper tools to analyze, manage, track and maintain their large inventory of batteries. The Valesco products consist of the Satellite 6™ industrial six pocket unit for day to day processing and the Enterprise 3000™, an expandable 19” tower rack system. The Enterprise 3000™ is custom built and is a complete tool that will pre-condition new batteries, recondition and recover old batteries, identify capacities and faults, and help manage the battery fleet. It is expandable up to 128 batteries of any type and chemistries off one CPU.

The AdvanceTec AdvanceCase Charger™ is an essential component for any Emergency Preparedness Program and other remote deployment applications. The AdvanceCase Charger™ is supplied in a rugged, protective case made of lightweight HPX® Resin with double layered soft grip handles and double pad lockable clasps. It is designed to withstand extreme temperatures and harsh environments. The portable design offer versatile application, is MilSpec approved and is waterproof, dustproof, and crushproof. Powered by 12-24 VDC connection, the AdvanceCase Charger™ is a perfect solution to your in-field battery charging requirements. The six-bay configuration is designed for use with most major OEM portable radio batteries, including Motorola® Impres™, the AdvanceCase Charger™ is a six-bay, tri-chemistry conditioning charger. It will charge up to six batteries of any battery chemistry type simultaneously; both intrinsically safe (IS) and non-intrinsically safe (Non-IS.) The unit also offers drop-in capability for Impres™ batteries alone or while attached to the radio via a specially designed adapter cup. The AdvanceCase Charger™ also provides rapid drop-in charging for non-Impres™ batteries as well. The twelve-bay configuration (model i1012A) is designed for use with most major TETRA portable radio batteries and many cell phone batteries. The AdvanceCase Charger™ will charge up to twelve, lithium-based batteries simultaneously and independently of one another.

The AdvanceLogic™ Charger is a versatile tri-chemistry four bay conditioning charger designed for everyday use with most major OEM portable radio batteries, including Motorola® Impres™ radio batteries. It will charge up to four batteries of any battery chemistry type simultaneously; both intrinsically safe (IS) and non-intrinsically safe batteries (Non-IS.) including drop-in capability for Impres™ batteries alone or while attached to the radio using a specially designed adaptor cup. The AdvanceLogic™ also provides drop-in rapid charging for nonImpres™ batteries as well. Achieving maximum extended battery life, each bay will detect a shorted or faulty cell instantly and charge/condition in a single process so you can safely top off the battery charge at any time. LED indicators independently show the charge status of each battery. The Green LED will blink during the charge process and turn to sold Green on completion indicating that the battery has entered into a maintenance mode. In the maintenance mode the batteries can be left on the unit for extended periods of time without the risk of ever overcharging, and while achieving maximum extended battery life. To avoid overcharging and to ensure a full charge each time, Ni-Cd and Ni-MH chemistry batteries are charged based on one algorithm and Li-Ion on another with the software codes loaded onto the battery adapter plates. This creates an in-field change in adapters possible with the simple “snap-in” design; perfect for radio or battery chemistry upgrades.

The ACT® iCHARGE™ Battery Analyzing Systems (BAS) are the perfect solution for taking control of the conditioning, testing and analyzing of your batteries. Designed for use with a PC or Laptop, these units include software which provides real-time battery conditioning, and battery capacity analysis with visibility of the battery voltage, stage of charging process, and phase time per charge cycle. The analysis results are stored and retained to provide historical comparative data.

The BAS units can be expanded by “daisy-linking” together with other BAS units and run off the same PC or laptop to monitor and analyze up to 120 (i90) or up to 240 (i92) batteries simultaneously and can be remotely monitored. Expanded units can be run off 1 PC and no additional software licenses are required. And the i90 BAS can be linked together with the i92 BAS to accommodate an even greater range of battery types for addressing the entire needs of many departmental operations.
