ANCHOR life + fitness is about more than exercise. The business philosophy is to provide custom personal training along with an individualized nutrition plan that contribute to a lifestyle change that will help you reach your goals faster and keep your results. Clients can get stronger, reduce stress and feel better.

ANCHOR life + fitness offers a wide range of programs for clients with a wide range of needs. Programs include sports performance, ATHLETE small group training, ANCHOR KIDS, personal training, yoga, active recovery, and strength. There is also wellness support through reiki and massage.

New clients can start with two weeks of free training to find out what ANCHOR life + fitness is all about and what it can do for you. This offer includes one free wellness session, two small group training sessions, unlimited ANCHOR Fit classes and Active Recovery classes plus one free Success Session and ten coaches to help you at every step along the way.

Depending on individual needs and goals, there are large group fitness classes for up to 12 clients, small group training for 3 to 5 participants and one-on-one private training.

For training that addresses the fitness of the entire body as well as the mind there are classes in foundation yoga, vinyasa yoga, stability yoga and restorative yoga. You may train with Indian clubs, work on deep breathing, experience guided meditation, or try foam rolling to release muscle tension.

Owner and coach Charlene Richardson opened ANCHOR life + fitness in 2016. She has created a space where everyone feels safe, comfortable and welcome. She believes that strength is a journey and if you create a strong body you can handle whatever life throws at you. She and her staff will push you to do things you may have never thought you could do, reaching those milestones in a safe and progressive manner.

Richardson believes in taking a holistic approach to wellness by eating real foods of high quality that are sustainable for life. The harder you train, the harder you must recover, which is why proper nutrition, yoga and massage are a part of the program. For younger athletes who are between 6th grade through college, ANCHOR Sports Performance program provides a comprehensive plan to improve strength, speed and skill. Simply practicing your sport may not be the best way to excel. Working on improving the entire body through a holistic approach leads to overall improved performance and success at your individual sport. For the younger athletes in fourth and fifth grades there is a special sports performance program designed for their age group. ANCHOR life + fitness is located at 112 S. Broad St., Kennett Square.
