Canada & Alaska

Canada, the second largest country in the world, has so much to offer you’ll find plenty to do whether it’s your first trip or a return visit. Modern cities with shopping, entertainment, museums, bars and restaurants are never too far from the amazing wildlife, national parks and Canada’s postcard perfect scenery. The perfect addition to any Canadian holiday is a trip to Alaska. Whether you’re looking at cruising the famed Inside Passage by ship or ferry, rail tours, camping trips, escorted tours, drive/stay holidays or wildlife tours, Alaska has it all.

The Best Time to Travel Canada The southern provinces of Canada enjoy sunshine and temperatures in the mid 20’s from late May through to early September. This is the best time to experience the abundance of wildlife and adventure that Canada has to offer. From November through to March temperatures can fall below zero particularly in the mountain ranges, making Canada one of the best skiing destinations in the world.

Alaska The weather in Alaska is dependent on the region. The Inside Passage and Anchorage area have temperatures around 20°C in summer, while in Fairbanks and the Interior the temperature can be as high as 30°C. Within the Arctic Circle you’ll find 24 hours of daylight during summer, but 24 hours of darkness in winter. The Interior and South Central Alaska also have reduced sunlight as well as reduced temperatures, with Fairbanks to Anchorage experiencing temperatures below zero in winter.

Individual Itineraries

In order to meet your specific travel requirements Adventure Destinations can tailor an individual itinerary for you. Use the itineraries given in the brochure as a starting point or design your own tour from the outset. Whichever way, our experienced staff can make the necessary arrangements. By formulating your own mixture of adventure and comfort you can visit the regions of your choice at a style and price to suit.
