Annual Leave
Your associates are entitled to Paid Annual Leave up to a maximum of 33 days inclusive of bank holidays in each complete holiday year for the duration of their assignment at Sopra Steria.
Annual leave must be granted by yourselves and all associates are asked to ensure they have had this approved by you before they send a PAL form. Once approved if you can send the PAL form to My Experience, they will process this for your associate.
We communicate to all associates that Sopra Steria will try to accommodate individual preferences for holiday dates but the needs to the business may have to take precedence, particularly where short notice is given or during peak times.
Under Regulation 13 of the “Working Time Directive 1998” it clearly states that paid annual leave may only be taken in the holiday year to which it is owed. It cannot be carried forward.
• The holiday year runs from October through to September the following year. • No annual leave will be authorised for more than 2 weeks. • Holiday is based on availability and Adecco may refuse the associates request during peak times if demand for holidays is high. • If the business requires it, Adecco may ask them to take their holiday during certain circumstances. • It is at the discretion of Sopra Steria to grant unpaid leave
Bank Holidays are included in your associates entitlement and we will process a days leave at each bank holiday, there is no need for your associates to send a PAL form for bank holidays. If your associate is going to be working the bank holiday, we ask that you let us know before the holiday to ensure a PAL day is not also processed.
Absence
Reporting Absence
If your associate contacts you to inform you that they are unable to attend work due to sickness or injury, you must ask that they contact the Adecco team as well as yourselves.
We ask that you do this so that Adecco can track and manage absence and act accordingly.
Adecco team: Myexperience@adecco.co.uk Tel – 01782 558126
Adecco will ask your associate -
• The reason for their absence • The likely time or date of their return to work if known • A point of contact at which they can be reached, if required
During prolonged periods of absence, we will keep you, as their manager informed of progress each day and be updated on an expected date of return (unless a sick note is provided and we know the expected return date).
Upon returning to work a Return to Work meeting will be completed with your associate and Adecco.
