Mary Kitchener Email: Marykitchener@swindon.ac.uk I am employed as the programme Leader for the PGCE and PgCertEd course (Level 6 and 7) and have been lecturer at Swindon College for nearly ten years. Previously to this, I worked in Community Education for the Worker’s Education Association teaching computing. I have also taught ESOL, Btec Level 3 Extended Diploma in Applied Forensic Science (Criminal and Forensic Psychology). My main interests are in supporting new member of staff through their induction, HE in FE, Lesson Study and e-learning. The best part of being a learning coach is being able to facilitate development within others as well as working towards improvements throughout the college systems.

Dawn Greenberg Email: Dawngreenberg@swindon.ac.uk I have been a lecturer, course tutor and personal tutor on the Uniformed Public Services courses for four years and teach across a range of levels. As a learning coach I really value the opportunity to work with a range of different people, across college. The role is rewarding as you see people grow and develop in confidence as teachers. A learning coach is supportive in its nature so it allows us to work with people to assist them without judgement. I also enjoy being part of the college’s staff development, delivering training across a broad range of topics

Dean Barrett Email: deanbarrett@swindon.ac.uk I have been teaching at Swindon College for 20 years in a variety of areas and gained a wealth of experience and skills during this time, areas I have worked in include motor vehicle, sports science and vocational studies. As team leader for vocational studies my role enabled me to work with colleagues’ across the college in a wide range of areas, including catering, art, construction, hairdressing, beauty and electronics. I enjoy working with learners who have challenging behaviours, are on the autistic spectrum or present with emotional and behaviour difficulties. The best part of the coaching role is being able to support staff from other areas and mentor new members of staff joining the college.

Gareth Bevan Email: garethbevan@swindon.ac.uk I have been a lecturer and course tutor at Swindon College for nearly 5 years and have this year joined the learning coach team. I have spent most of my career at college delivering BTEC sports through levels 1-3 and course tutoring level 1 learners in Sports. I specialise in Anatomy and physiology and have taught and assessed this subject across other BTEC courses and departments in the college, including Uniformed Public Services and Health and Social Care. I wanted to join the learning coach team as have relished mentoring new staff and student teachers within my own department and wanted an opportunity to do this across college. Through my experience at college I am able to specialise in BTEC processes as well as managing behaviour in the classroom

Adam Lincoln Email: adamlincoln@swindon.ac.uk I have worked at Swindon College for almost 4 years and have recently joined the learning coach team. Since joining the Swindon College, I have worked in the busy automotive department as a Course Tutor/Lecturer. I have taught across levels EL3 to level 3 and have also taught on the pre-16 provision. In this time I have completed my teacher training and gained my assessors qualification also. I wanted to join the learning coach team to enable me to support staff and help to share outstanding practice across the college. I can support staff in areas of: F.E, vocational courses, course tutorship, lesson planning, using ILT, Moodle and many other areas.
