> Activating Youth Working to build the youth dance and theatre landscape Activating Youth Development programme: training for artists/teachers by Tim Chaundy (Candid), Katie P, (Jonzi D), playwrite Nicola Baldwin and Lorna Rees. Young people went to see the RSC, Pilot Theatre, Breakin’ Convention, Fabulous Beast Dance Co, Gravity & Levity and Candid Youth Theatre. County youth dance company, Portrait was launched with choreographer, Carly Reader. Umoja Family Arts Day: supported Umoja by helping to bring Talawa Theatre company to run workshops as part of a multi-arts Afro-caribbean day at Lighthouse. Community Youth Dance Practitioner: a post with Active Dorset, the county sports partnership. Leanne Desmond ran 100s of dance workshops, a Summer School with choreographer Fleur Darkin and presented ‘Elevate’, a county platform to showcase youth dance. Award winning Aimhigher in the Arts Residential Summer School for 41 15 year olds based between Bournemouth University and Lighthouse, with Lee Hart (Producer), Niki McCretton, Amit Lahav (Gecko), Sammy Hurden and Nick Flowers (BSO) and John Camble (Production). Ignite Dance (now Pure Dance) workshop with young people at a West Dorset Youth Service Youth Club.
