The Banks Journal Spring ‘21 Collection is made up of easy pieces, subtle details and timeless style which draws inspiration from our travels from where urban environments meet modern beach culture, utilising organic and recycled cottons and tonal textures. A culmination of places explored we have been inspired from the streets of New York, Los Angeles, Japan to the beaches of Hawaii and Byron Bay and integrated the culture, surroundings and colours into this collection. It is a range of seasonless staples, classics with an emphasis in texture colour and natural beauty these are truly the big inspiration of spring. A collection that conjures images of the city to seaside utilising fabrications to help create a sustainable future.

Since day one, we have used recycled polyester woven labels on each garment we make. Our trim partner is a BLUESIGN system partner.
Every swing tag we use across our products is a FSCÂŽ certified product. This means that each tag meets their rigorous standards of responsible sourcing.
Since our beginning, organic cotton has played a vital role within every collection. It’s our way of creating a better future for the world we all journey through.
We incorporate recycled polyester yarn in many of our garments to help reduce harmful landfill waste and keep these materials from reaching our ocean.
THE BLUE WAY by BLUESIGN represents the vision and mindset of responsible and sustainable manufacturing of textile consumer products. BLUESIGN is a system that provides safer and more sustainable environments for people to work in and everyone to live in. Powered by a holistic approach, BLUESIGN traces each textile’s path along the manufacturing process, making improvements at every stage from factory floor to finished product. BLUESIGN changes the environmental impact of textiles for good. As a solution provider and knowledge broker, BLUESIGN acts as an independent verifier to secure trust and transparency. Corresponding to this approach, BLUESIGN encourages the industry to increase their efforts in sustainable processes step by step.
FSC certified forests have to meet our rigorous standards. This means that forest certified by FSC are healthy, and benefit local communities as well as providing jobs for workers. FSC certification tracks the wood from the forest to the shelf. So when you see the FSC label on a product, you can be sure that the paper or timber came from responsible sources.

FSC is an independent, not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that works to promote the environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests. FSC develops best practice standards for responsible forest management according to our 10 principles and criteria.

ZAK BUSH
Canadian born photographer Zak Bush, developed his interest in photography after an injury kept him out of the water for several months. In desperate need of a pre-occupation, Zak borrowed a camera and began framing the setting around him. Now residing in Los Angeles, Zak continues to capture the texture and feel of his surrounding environment, whether in the urban setting of DTLA, one of the city’s many beaches, or a faraway destination.
