SEMI-SANDWICH

With Full Cap construction, there is no need for sidewalls in the ski. Instead, the topsheet wraps around and meets directly with the ski’s edges, protecting the fragile join that can be prone to chipping. No sidewalls mean a lighter ski that looks fresher for longer.

Sidewall construction is a traditional manufacturing method that places strips of protective material along the sides of each core, between the metal edge and the topsheet. Sidewalls provide the best possible edge hold and stability when the ski is engaged in a turn.

All the benefits of sidewall construction underfoot, with a cap construction in the tip and tail. Cap construction requires no sidewall as the topsheet wraps around fully to the edge, adding durability from impacts and other damage as well as reducing the overall weight of the ski.
