My Own Portrait Experience: I wanted to share what the experience of being photographed professionally taught me about myself and what my husband and I do as portrait photographers. I was having a stressful day and had to go for a makeup test application for my wedding. Instead of seeing the beautiful job my makeup artist did, I focused on all the negative feelings I felt about myself. My husband wanted me to see the women he was marrying, so he pulled out his camera and told me he was taking my portrait. After much protesting, I agreed. He took me outside to our balcony and guided me in posing. When he handed me my portrait my eyes filled with tears. I didn’t see my imaginery flaws. I saw a beauitful, strong women. I immediately shared my portrait with everyone. I have learned that we pick ourselves apart and don’t focus on the good. We stop loving ourselves and spend our time making lists of what we don’t like about our bodies. The experience of having your hair and makeup done professionally and then spending time on set with a professional photographer is absolutly transformative. You will see the beauty that maybe you forgot was there, or haven’t seen before. Seeing yourself and loving yourself for who you are and how you look right now, and for generations to see and treasure is priceless. Have your portrait taken, frame it and hang it on the wall and celebrate and be proud of who you are. BOOKING A PERSONAL BRANDING PORTRAIT SESSION IS $250 This covers up to 1.5 hours of shooting for 1 person.
