Partnership with the Research Center for Small Responsible Mining (NAP.Mineração) of the University of São Paulo in carrying out tests of the web platform PCRO – Responsible Gold Purchasing Program, based on due diligence processes, encouraging producers to work on a regular basis and guaranteeing the first purchaser the reliability of purchasing responsible gold.
Also with NAP.Mineração we were invited to celebrate the partnership in the development of the National Action Plan for the Extraction of Gold without Mercury, which aims to establish a plan to reduce and, if possible, eliminate the use of mercury and emissions and releases into the environment of mercury from artisanal and small-scale gold mining, together with entities such as the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), the Foundation for the Technological Development of Engineering (FDTE) and the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), financed by the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
