Cities are setting the world’s trends. The world’s largest cities are not only centers of commerce and trade, but also of culture and creativity. They set the styles the rest of us follow, and offer front-row seats for those wanting to see the emergence of game-changing business ideas and global trends.

Globalization is connecting everyone and everything. National borders are becoming less and less important. Social media has opened up the world, giving people and businesses the ability to talk to each other constantly. Global is more than just a buzzword—it’s a part of life.

Hult maintains three campuses in the Greater London area.

Technology is changing everything. Today a taxi, dinner, and even a date could all be on your doorstep in less than twenty minutes. The microchip touches everything we do, and its power has not yet been fully realized. Technological advances are not just making us more efficient, they are fundamentally changing how we behave.

Lifelong brand loyalty is a thing of the past. Connectivity, rising consumer influence, time scarcity, and mobile payments are changing where, when and how we shop. New brands can pop up out of nowhere and have a hugely disruptive impact on the market. This means incredible opportunities, but also incredible threats.

Spending time at Hult’s Shanghai campus teaches you to appreciate how influential the Chinese economy is on a global scale.

Spending time at Hult Boston or Hult San Francisco exposes you to cutting-edge technologies being developed nearby.

The global business school Hult’s Masters degree programs are designed specifically to help you learn what’s shaping today’s global business world. By bringing together people, cultures, and innovative ideas from around the world, Hult provides you with a global and transformative educational experience.

The world is

your stage.

Take a year to immerse yourself in learning how business and the wider world works. This is your opportunity to become a truly global citizen and to shape your future career.

I am the CEO and Founder of a company that provides a platform for non-profits to increase the positive impact of their work. Master of Finance Hult’s Master of Finance (MFIN) program offers a relevant and rigorous education in international finance. It is designed as a springboard for students wishing to forge a career within the finance function of multinational companies.

Study in Boston, the home of U.S. financial services Boston is the heartland of American academia and has a long-established reputation as the go-to talent pool for the financial services industry in the U.S. Many of America’s most prestigious investment management, venture capital, and fund management firms are based here including Bain Capital, Fidelity, and State Street Bank. Boston is also strong in hot, of-the-moment industries like biotech, healthcare, and tech innovation— making it a great place to network and seek attractive opportunities within the finance sector across a range of industries.

Go deeper in finance in Boston or broaden your knowledge at other Hult campuses MFIN students may take specialized finance electives in Boston, or choose from a broader range of electives at other Hult campuses. The role of the CFO and the company’s finance team is to optimize financial performance. They do this by looking for ways to fund investments, free up capital, and decrease costs. By understanding the nuts and bolts of the business and what really drives the numbers, they also advise on which activities drive profitable growth, and which do not. The MFIN degree is designed to give students this breadth of insight.

“ I learned about international business both in the classroom and from my classmates. Everything started at Hult. Hult inspired me to start my own international business. While I was taking an Entrepreneurship elective in San Francisco, I had to give a presentation about a Japanese entrepreneur. I chose the founder of Mixi, which is a Japanese version of Facebook. ”

Learn from finance experts Hult’s faculty comprises real-world practitioners. Study best practices with former finance executives and expert accounting professionals who have many years ºof experience in both academia and business. For instance, Hult professor Viktoria Dalko both taught at Harvard and was advisor to the National Bank and government of Hungary. The Hult Business Challenge: Practical experience

IBM: One of the 2015 CEO Challenges

Put all the business knowledge and leadership skills you learn to the test with this seven-month challenge in which you and your teammates either devise a game-changing idea to solve an existing problem for a major corporation or create a business plan for a startup.

Background: IBM has developed Watson, a supercomputer that is capable of learning and adapting in the same way as humans. IBM calls this capability “cognitive computing,” an advanced form of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Watson gained fame by winning the U.S. quiz show ‘Jeopardy’, and IBM CEO Ginni Rometty has made it a centerpiece of the company’s strategy going forward. She is convinced that Watson and cognitive computing will transform how we live and do business. The power of Watson has already been put to use, transforming the way medical research and the diagnosis of various diseases is done.

Rise to the challenge and make a real impact The key concepts of business can certainly be introduced by a teacher, case study, or textbook. But they cannot truly be mastered until they are grappled with firsthand. The Hult Business Challenge is a seven-month group project to solve a real business problem. It’s designed to help you develop and test innovative ideas that really make a difference— not only in your Masters program but in your future career and beyond.

How it works

A launchpad for your career

The competition starts in Module A, when students form teams and choose a Business Challenge track. In the CEO Challenge, you select a problem set by top executives from major multinationals. In the Startup Challenge, you bring your own idea to life for a new product, service, or social enterprise. Through the seven-month challenge, student teams develop and continually refine their business idea into an actionable plan through mentorship from faculty, discussions with partner companies, research and field testing.

The Hult Business Challenge culminates in a series of regional elimination rounds, in which teams compete head-to-head to advance to the Global Final, held at one of our campuses worldwide. Finalists get to present their business ideas to a panel of esteemed judges comprised of executives, global entrepreneurs, and founders of social enterprises. The challenge isn’t just an academic exercise. It’s often the first step to your dream job or the launchpad for your own startup or social enterprise.

2015 IBM challenge: Create an actionable business idea showing how IBM could put their AI technology to use, and shape future product development strategies using AI systems like Watson. 2015 solutions: One of dozens of ideas for IBM comes from “Team Helpdesk” in Hult London, who tackled the problem of inefficient help desks and call centers that are not customercentric. Their idea was to create a smarter and more helpful desk agent that could eliminate queues, discern and analyze trends, and respond more effectively and efficiently to customer needs. This would allow IBM to create a scalable and commercially viable range of new customer service products for a wide range of industries.

Why choose Boston A historic city with a modern outlook

Make the most of what Boston has to offer

Founded in 1630, Boston is one of America’s most historic cities. Its knowledge-based economy is a direct result of its long history of academic excellence. Greater Boston is home to the headquarters of dozens of biotechnology, healthcare, and pharmaceutical giants. It’s also a hub for tech firms like Google and Facebook, so it is no surprise that the Innovation Cities Global Index consistently rates Boston as one of the world’s most innovative cities. This reputation has helped Boston attract a strong financial services base—both Fidelity and State Street are located here—as well as numerous venture capital firms.

San Francisco is home to the biggest breakthrough companies of the twenty-first century, a magnet attracting the world’s most forward-thinking entrepreneurs. The technology born in the region from the likes of Apple, Google, and Twitter has brought about huge shifts in the global marketplace and has changed the face of corporate culture. San Francisco has become a byword for creativity, and its success stories epitomize the entrepreneurial mindset.

Why choose San Francisco Epicenter of the tech world San Francisco is the embodiment of the digitally driven age in which we currently live. The city has long been powered by a startup economy, earning itself a global reputation for creativity and technological wizardry. Having seen a generation of determined entrepreneurs build huge business empires out of garages and college dorm rooms, San Francisco has become the world’s premier destination for those wanting to push the boundaries of the possible. Silicon Valley, just south of the city, is the world’s leading tech hub, home to anyone who is anyone in the digital world, including Facebook, eBay, Intel, and LinkedIn.

London’s supremacy as the commercial capital of Europe has been unrivalled for hundreds of years, yet it has also managed to stay at the forefront of the creative industries. It is an economic powerhouse to be reckoned with, proven by the fact that more multinational companies are headquartered here than in any other European city.

Why choose London

Hult London

Welcome to the world’s most international city

There’s more to London than banks

People from almost 200 countries call London home and you can hear over 300 languages spoken on its streets. Cultural differences are openly embraced by London’s inhabitants, so it doesn’t take long to feel at home. The city’s business landscape is as international as its population. Over 250 foreign banks have branches, and 588 foreign companies are listed on the London Stock Exchange. The world has a very real stake in London, and London, in turn, thrives on its international reputation.

Centuries of economic success, an established reputation as a global financial hub, and a distinguished history of academic excellence gives London the confidence to be creative. Its distinctive brand of music, fashion, art, and film continues to set global trends. 70% of Europe’s top advertising agencies have offices in London, and careers in marketing are increasingly popular. In recent years, a vibrant startup scene has boomed around Old Street and is fast forging itself a reputation as a world leader in the technology sector. The growth of alternative career options really does mean that that the world is your oyster if you choose to make London your home after completing your studies.

“ During my time at Hult London, I spent many long nights studying, explored an amazing city, and started a student club—all while working with, and learning from, some of the most talented and knowledgeable people in my industry. This is not an experience I could’ve found at any other school—Hult offers the most unique graduate study opportunity in the world.” Kathryn Green Director of Digital Marketing, Attract China Australia, Master of International Marketing, Class of 2013

Hult’s graduate campus borders the academic heartland of Bloomsbury, which has the highest concentration of universities in London, and Holborn, a global media, marketing, and advertising hub. The financial district is a short distance away, and if you head eastwards, you hit Tech City, Europe’s largest startup cluster centered on Old Street. You’re also in walking distance of Covent Garden’s theaters, Oxford Street’s shopping, and Soho’s nightlife.

Our campus is a beautifully converted Georgian building with views over historic Gray’s Inn Gardens, where the city’s leading barristers have been based since 1370. Spread over six floors, the interior has been transformed into a modern study environment, while the exterior retains its traditional period features. An open-plan atrium, event space, bright classrooms, and 16 enclosed breakout rooms are just some of the fantastic facilities available to students. The roof deck and courtyard are perfect places to have a coffee and relax between classes.

During class time and through campus events, we aim to give our students every opportunity to meet people at the top of their professions. Procter & Gamble, PwC, Barclays, Burberry, Coca-Cola, Mars, and BSkyB were just some of the 120 companies that shared valuable business insights with our students last year. Our regular industry panel events allow for real engagement in current contentious business issues, as hot topics are debated live by leaders from the likes of AXA, HMV, Marks & Spencer, and West Ham Football.

Why choose Hult Ashridge Historic campus at the cutting edge of education Set in extensive parkland in the Hertfordshire countryside, the Ashridge Estate has at one stage in its colorful past been the private hunting lodge of King Henry VIII and the residence of his daughter, Queen Elizabeth I. For the last fifty years, Ashridge Business School has developed executives and managers in the fields of leadership, strategy, and change. Today Ashridge is ranked by Bloomberg Business and the Financial Times as one of the best schools in the world for Custom Executive Education, and has long been recognized for its world-class faculty. Ashridge also has a long tradition of cutting-edge research, publishing its own journal, engaging companies in their latest innovations, and hosting thought-leadership conferences.

We are extremely pleased to introduce Ashridge as the latest location available to Masters students on global rotation. This former royal residence is now home to Ashridge Business School, a global leader in executive education that has operationally merged with Hult. The campus is located just outside London on the grounds of a historic stately home. Students experience a world-class education in magnificent rural surroundings while having easy access to Europe’s economic capital.

Facilities fit for a king Trails for running, biking, horse riding, and walking surround Ashridge. There are two golf courses nearby and a health club and fitness center on site with tennis courts, a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, spa, and sauna. Students stay in one of the 190 en-suite bedrooms, and enjoy cuisine made by resident chefs who source food from local farms and high-quality suppliers. In the evenings, students can socialize in the recently renovated pub, where our very own Ashridge Ale is waiting to be sampled.

“ Hult is a very innovative business school. It inspires students to try things they are really passionate about. At Hult San Francisco, I was at the center of the startup community and was encouraged to embark upon something I once thought impossible. There was a highly active atmosphere on campus. I loved all the discussion and collaboration with teammates, as well as the research trips. We had students from more than 90 different countries on campus—each student was unique, and there was a lot to learn from all my classmates. Don’t be afraid to innovate, whether you succeed or not, the experience will teach you a lot about yourself.”

Student life at Hult We offer far more than an academic credential. Join a vibrant multicultural community, enjoy weekly events and outings, and explore your host city with friends from 120 countries.

“ At Hult there is an atmosphere which is difficult to find in other business schools. Hult reflects the modern business world, where changes must not just be accepted, but anticipated. Benedetta Moreno Global Programs Manager, Swarovski Italy, Master of International Marketing, Class of 2014

Personal assessment interview

Acceptance and confirmation

All candidates are required to attend a personal assessment interview. This interview can be conducted in person or via Skype. The personal assessment interview’s main objectives are to get to know you better, evaluate your motivations to join the program, and discuss the details of your candidacy before the admission team starts their review.

Hult International Business School’s admissions committee will review all applications after each deadline. Our aim is to notify accepted or rejected candidates within two weeks. We accept students year-round but priority is given to candidates who apply early. We only consider late applications if places are still available. Once accepted, students will normally have one month to confirm their place. Depending on capacity, the school may decide to shorten the lead time between acceptance notification and confirmation, typically from March or April.

If English is not your native language, you will need to prove your English proficiency to sucure a place. Your official TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE score must be less than two years old. Due to visa requirement issues in the U.K., we recommend non -European Economic Area applicants to the London and Ashridge campuses submit IELTS tests taken at an approved UKVI Centre. Contact us if you have questions regarding English proficiency.

Pre-Master English Proficiency Program We offer an intensive Pre-Master English Proficiency Program in partnership with EF Education First that will equip you with the fluency necessary to succeed in our Masters degree programs. Find out more at Hult.edu/pre-master
