 The treatment for veterans with mental disabilities involves reducing symptoms and distress

 Psychotherapy is the most appropriate intervention of mental disabilities

 Psychotherapy involves exploration of the thoughts and feelings as well as the thoughts of an individual to improve his/her wellbeing (National Academies of Sciences, Engineering & Medicine, 2018).

 The should also be provided with counselling to improve their psychological capacity to cope with devastating psychiatric symptoms

 The veterans with mental disabilities may also be administered with medications to manage the symptoms (Bongar, Sullivan & James, 2017).

Physical Handicaps

 Since veterans suffer from musculoskeletal injuries that my lead to physical handicaps the treatment plan should include physiotherapy (Bongar, Sullivan & James, 2017).

 Care providers should use treatment plans that can help veterans overcome physical handicaps by reducing pain, preventing disability and restoring function.

 Individuals with severe physical handicaps should be provided with wheel chairs and other equipment to facilitate their movement

 These individuals can also be enrolled in social support programs where they can learn and receive assistance from people who have gone through similar experiences (Bongar, Sullivan & James, 2017).
