Psychotherapy involves exploration of the thoughts and feelings as well as the thoughts of an individual to improve his/her wellbeing (National Academies of Sciences, Engineering & Medicine, 2018).
The should also be provided with counselling to improve their psychological capacity to cope with devastating psychiatric symptoms
The veterans with mental disabilities may also be administered with medications to manage the symptoms (Bongar, Sullivan & James, 2017).
Physical Handicaps
Since veterans suffer from musculoskeletal injuries that my lead to physical handicaps the treatment plan should include physiotherapy (Bongar, Sullivan & James, 2017).
Care providers should use treatment plans that can help veterans overcome physical handicaps by reducing pain, preventing disability and restoring function.
Individuals with severe physical handicaps should be provided with wheel chairs and other equipment to facilitate their movement
These individuals can also be enrolled in social support programs where they can learn and receive assistance from people who have gone through similar experiences (Bongar, Sullivan & James, 2017).
