PERSONAL REFLECTION
I understand the main constructs of workplace ethics which must be in agreement with laws as well as regulations that reign in the jurisdiction within which the business falls. In other words, the organization’s policies, laws, and general ethics remain inferior to the rules and regulations of the locality where the company falls. Equally, workplace ethics are modeled in such a way that they conform to ethical business practices. I understand this to mean that it is actually illegal and unacceptable to mislead consumers through use of marketing campaigns and other related materials.

Workplace environments need to be both safe and free from any health-related predicament or hitch for the workers involved. I have a jurisdiction to ensure that the workplace environment remains safe for all workers at all times. In ensuring that the instances or chances of violence arising between workers are completely eliminated, I need to confirm that there is a proper communication procedure and channels for workers to use when they need to express discontent. Additionally, I should ensure that organizational structures are in place which effectively provides solutions whenever they are needed.
For workers safety to be adhered to fully, the workers should individually take full precaution. However, as their supervisor I am charged with the responsibility of ensuring they are aware of the predicament that they face if they failed to comply with safety requirements. I will ensure safety rules and regulations are pinned at every strategic location so that workers can constantly acquaint themselves with safety rules. I must ensure workers are trained periodically on safety issues such that they can keep updating on new practices and requirements.
Application three
An organization that integrates different workers with varied backgrounds often is considered a healthy organization. As a supervisor, I will ensure that each and every culture that is represented as part of the workforce is not denied a chance to enjoy equal opportunity to growth. I need to study and acquire skills in culture management in order that I may be able to treat all workers with the same respect. Diverse teams of workers also ensure that workers are not discriminated against because of their gender or any other attribute. I understand the importance and benefit that diverse workforces present to organization. One of the benefits is the ability to acquire rich talent which, in turn, would benefit the organization in so many ways and aspects. I believe that if I succeed to integrate a diverse workforce into becoming a unified team, then the same benefits could also be helpful in achieving peaceful coexistence between different communities.
Application four
Communication plays a major role in building and sustaining trust among individuals working together. I need to communicate to the rest of the workers just like I expect my colleagues to communicate to me if they need to convey any information or message. However, effective communication does not occur where no prior plans have been put into place to support it. As such, as a manager I fully realize the need to for communication within organizations because once we have formulated organizational policies, they will have to be communicated to workers for execution. There are also directives and orders which must systematically be communicated to workers for them to act accordingly.
Workers feedback messages should also find a way through which they can reach me as their supervisor. They are the ones directly involved in execution of work and therefore their experience and observation is important in ensuring all the necessary requirements are provided.
I will need this feedback information from workers so that I critically analyze the details forwarded and come up with better solutions that will improve on productivity and general performance of work. The organization also needs to keep in touch constantly with its external customers, who include the consumers as well as suppliers and distributors. I should ensure all these customers, both internal and external, have easy time providing information to the organization or obtaining the same from us. Proper communication mechanisms and structures need to be put into place to make this goal a reality (Hinds & Kiesler, 1995).
