Cybercrime is expanding at an alarming pace, with the worldwide cost of cybercrime expected to exceed $10,500,000,000,000,000 by 2025. Despite this, a significant number of policymakers need to be appropriately address the problem. The lack of cooperation amongst many parties in the battle against cybercrime is one of the major areas for improvement revealed by the study. According to the research, many politicians operate in silos, with limited communication between law enforcement agencies, governments, private sector groups, and cybersecurity specialists. A lack of coordination has led to a disorganized approach to combating cybercrime, resulting in efficient regulations that need to sufficiently address the underlying causes of cybercrime. The study recognized lack of investment in digital intelligence as another important problem. The research found that many law enforcement organizations and governments invest little in digital intelligence capabilities, making it difficult to trace and punish cybercriminals successfully. The research advises authorities to invest in digital intelligence tools to enhance their capacity to monitor and identify cyber criminals. The survey indicated that many people and companies do not take the essential precautions against cyberattacks. The study also underlined the need for enhanced cybersecurity education and awareness. The research proposes that governments engage in cybersecurity education and awareness initiatives to increase the general public's knowledge of cybersecurity dangers and effective practices.
