Then let I1 = .3A and I2 = .2A. Then IT = I1 + I2 = .3A + .2A = .5A Voltage. Kirchoff's Law for voltage is that the sum of the voltages in a loop equals the applied voltage (EMF). A loop is one complete path for current flow from the negative side of the battery, through the circuit, and back to the positive side of the battery.
