COVID-19 has affected all of us in one way or another. That’s why it is now more important than ever that we take care of ourselves, mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Two areas of our lives that have probably been most affected during this time are the mental and physical aspects of our health.
Obesity was already an epidemic prior to the pandemic, however, on average, people have gained approximately 15 pounds during this time. You may have heard of this as “the COVID-15.”
On the other side of the spectrum, we have seen the rates of depression, anxiety, and suicide dramatically increase during this time. With the isolation, quarantines, remote work, and untraditional celebrations, it has been very difficult for people.
