Backyard Barbecue Basics: The Kettle Grill

Page 1

Backyard Barbecue Basics: The Kettle Grill This is my first in a series of Backyard Basic Barbecue training videos aimed at teaching the novice grilling enthusiast how to make great barbecue at home with minimal effort and equipment. The first video in this series outlines the features and functionality of a standard charcoal kettle grill. The simple charcoal grill is fully capable of cooking barbecue standards such as ribs, boston butts, and beef brisket, as well as a host of other great menu items. This video shows how a charcoal kettle grill can be set up and configured for direct and indirect cooking and how the airflow is controlled in the grill to help maintain proper cooking temperatures. Have something you would like to see demonstrated in this series? Leave a comment and let me know… Copyright Info: All video in this production, including intro and exit clips was created by John Setzler / Man Cave Meals. Any music appearing in these videos, whether it be intro, exit, or background music, was created from the royalty free tracks “Blues To Go” or “Cold Metal” included with the Sonicfire Pro 5 plugin (www.smartsound.com) for Adobe Premiere Elements version 8 and version 10 software.
