ave two months of holiday feasting and family pressures left you bloated and discouraged? The latest activity tracker doohickey can feed you data about all the running you’re not doing. Or you could look to the wisdom of a respected, local medicine man who has spent a lifetime learning and teaching the ways of traditional well-being. Joseph Brophy Toledo of Jemez Pueblo speaks on “Wellness, Healing & Traditional Foods” at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20, at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center (2401 12th Street NW). Toledo will share time-honored knowledge for a healthful life right here on the Earth we inhabit — and within our connection to it. His talk is part of the Cultural Center’s Counter-Narrative (formerly Coffee & Conversation). Catch the series for free the third Wednesday of each month.
