SUFFOLK FOLK Andrew Storer is the founder of The Black Dog Delis. His passion for food started from a very early age and Suffolk had a lot to do with that as it is blessed with a wonderful array of produce and producers; all you have to do is leave your home and good food is right on the doorstep.

FAVOURITE SHOP

F ocus Organic, Halesworth - endless supply of “get me out of trouble gifts” for my wife when I forget an anniversary or something.

FAVOURITE PLACE TO EAT

DP’s Bar, Aldeburgh - perfect Thai street food ‘fixer upper supper’! Must mention the Boarding House in Halesworth, also excellent.

FAVOURITE SPOT TO GRAB A PINT

You can’t beat my local, The Star in Wenhaston. It’s a gem of a pub.

FAVOURITE LOCALLY PRODUCED TREATS

It has to be Lickety Ice pops, especially the rhubarb and custard flavour.

FAVOURITE WALK

I love Dunwich forest. We always do the big loop walk from Dunwich to Westleton and back with our dog, Tetley. He loves it too, he told me so!

FAVOURITE BEACH

Undoubtably Walberswick, with its big sweeping bay and views to Dunwich. I also know an amazing little deli there that’s worth a visit.

BEST REASON TO VISIT

The coast and all its natural surroundings. The countryside is stunning and even though I live here, its beauty always takes me by surprise.

BEST OF ALL!

Just slowly make your way up the coast, visit all the pretty villages, get close to nature, enjoy a beer in a traditional Suffolk pub and relax. That’s exactly what this county is all about.
