PRODUCT SPECIFICATION SCALE SL Our Super Light product range represents our highest level of specification. Using only the top grade carbon, these products are designed and tested with our top athletes.

The frame is often described as the beating heart of your bike, but you are not going to get very far without handlebars, saddles, seatposts, grips or wheels. Syncros offers a variety of products at a variety of price points to cover the needs of every biker.

Couple that with carbon friendly construction, rider centric ergonomics and our range of integrated Garmin mounts and you have the complete package.

WEIGHT By removing unnecessary hardware and material we are able to achieve lower final weights without sacrificing performance or durability.

VIRTUAL STEM LENGTH While we have removed the traditional stem, we still retain options in terms of virtual stem length utilising bar shape. Simply choose your preferred length from the options available.

CONSTRUCTION Fiber continuity is the key here, by combining multiple components into a single piece we have more control over the way the fibers are used and how they perform.

INTEGRATION Both in terms of design and function, our iC components work in harmony with the bike creating a single, more sophisticated system.

STRENGTH The bar is 30% stronger than our traditional bar and stem combinations.

Syncros saddle range Working closely with leading German bike fit company Gebiomized we analysed data from thousands of pressure maps identifying 5 key parameters to define which saddle fits the rider best: Sit bone distance, Main loading area, typical discomfort, flexibility, typical position on the bike. From this data our engineers created two distinct shapes that addressed these needs along with two options for channel and cut out, leading to a more comfortable and powerful ride. Our ranges are divided into Performance and Endurance with two types of saddles based on rider flexibility within each grouping.

1. POSITION ON THE BIKE Endurance – Relaxed Position The regular saddle will fit the majority of riders, marked by a more upright position, seated more towards the middle to back of the saddle. Performance – Racing Position Our V-Concept performance saddle was developed for the more flexible rider, particularly in the pelvis and lumbar spine, who tend to ride a more aggressive position. These riders sit towards the front of the saddle supported by their pubic rami. The riding position is lower in general and requires a slightly differently shaped saddle.

3. CUTOUT OR CHANNEL? Channel Aims for a larger contact area. The goal is to reduce pressure spots while seated on a larger surface area on the saddle still allowing contact with the saddle. Cut Out Higher sensitivity in symphysis region rider type. Generally rider is on the front part of the pelvis and central part of the saddle nose. This design transfers the weight to the bones to either side as opposed to the middle.

Belcarra Regular SL Saddle Developed for our elite athletes on the Road and MTB, the Belcarra Regular SL is for those who are truly counting the grams. Utilizing Resin Transfer Molding (RTM), the Belcarra SL is a development using the existing shape of the saddle but with a true one-piece rail and base design. This saves 50 grams per saddle with no compromise on comfort. Resin Transfer molding allows for the precise construction of carbon parts to create uniform structures more easily than traditional carbon molding. The process begins with preforming dry fibers (as oppose to the more common, traditional prepreg layers) and then injecting the resin under high pressure before curing the whole piece.

EVA PADDING FOR COMFORT AND LIGHTWEIGHT

Like our Silverton SL wheelset or integrated cockpits, we need to consider the system as a whole with multiple benefits rather than simply for weight reasons. By molding as one piece rather than the tradition base and rails you remove the need for reinforced bonding points leading to a more balanced structure aswell as weight savings.

Syncros Silverton SL Wheelset

LATERAL STIFFNESS Lateral Stiffness is crucial for handling and control. The goal with the Silverton SL was not just more stiffness but also balanced stiffness left to right. In the Silverton SL this is most impacted by 2 unique features.

A SYSTEM FOR SPEED A precision one-piece carbon system that gives you more speed with more control in every situation. The goal with our new Silverton SL cross country wheelset was to build the fastest, lightest wheel possible. Our engineers studied lateral and torsional stiffness, as well as mass distribution, to come up with the optimal carbon layup. They developed a one piece mold with a unique tensioning process to provide a one piece rim, spoke and spider construction. At a featherweight 1290g total weight.

REGULAR Contributes to the lateral stiffness of the wheel. As a result of our one-piece molded construction and our unique pre straining process we can achieve higher spoke tension than other carbon wheels, resulting in a more lively wheel and a more responsive ride.

SPOKE STRENGTH Our carbon spokes weigh 3.5g each as oppose to 5.7g for a steel spoke and yet are 35% stronger. Unlike traditional spoke fixation the Silverton SL’s spokes are bonded directly to the rim and pull from the opposite side of the hub and rim, increasing torsional rigidity.

TORSIONAL STIFFNESS Torsional Stiffness is primarily influenced by spoke construction. In the Silverton SL there are two unique aspects that are designed to optimize this:

FIBER CONTINUITY The more continuous fiber that is utilized in the construction the higher the Torsional Stiffness. With the SL’s one-piece construction a single spoke actually runs from rim to rim.

SPOKE CROSS With its one piece construction the SL’s spokes are actually woven at the intersection. This has the effect of shortening the spokes between the hub and the rim.

LOW INERTIA Not all 1290g wheels are created equal. Our unique construction method moves weight from the outside of the wheel around the rim to the inside of the wheel near the hub resulting in faster acceleration.
