I am a n architectural t hesis student a t Syracuse University, with a n interest i n sustainable design a nd u rban p lanning. M y outlook o n architecture largely stems from m y background and growing up in Egypt and experiencing a wide spectrum of architecture ranging from architectural marvels to failures. This has helped hone my interests around urban identity, and the relationship between t he c ity a nd its p eople. My p rofessional goal is t o build o ff m y interests and be a ble to i mplement t hese i deas i n my p rofessional practice in a manner that i s both unique t o a location and beneficial to its p eople. I h ave seen t he difference t hat architecture can m ake i n the lives o f people and as a result, I a m driven t o continue the work which was laid down by my predecessors.
