s the Chief of Local Networks at the United Nations Global Compact, Ole Lund Hansen is at the forefront of promoting global corporate sustainability. During his eight years at United Nations Global Compact, he has helped create a movement of committed companies and leaders across nearly all industries and countries worldwide. Ole Lund Hansen believes that businesses can lead the change towards sustainable development, but this requires a transformation of existing business strategies and models. Through his position at United Nations Global Compact, Ole Lund Hansen leads a group of more than 70 national organisations that work with companies and other stakeholders around the world. Thus, his mission is to support companies in developing solutions to the biggest global challenges, while improving their social and environmental footprints, ultimately helping to make the world a better place for all its citizens.

The United Nations Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative with nearly 10,000 corporate participants in more than 160 countries. It is a United Nations initiative calling on companies to align strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, anti-corruption standards, and environmental issues and take actions that advance the Sustainable Development Goals.
