2022 GRAND NATIONAL EXHIBITION

Welcome to the 94th Grand National Exhibition!

The Annual Grand National Exhibition (GNE), this year celebrating 94 years, is a most unique celebration of the fine arts. The Exhibition, presented by the American Artists’ Professional League, is one of the select exhibitions world-wide devoted exclusively to the promotion of realism and representational art.

In addition to the more traditional mediums of oil, pastel, and watercolor, the GNE welcomes work by graphic artists and sculptors. New for 2022 is a special category for acrylics in keeping with the more contemporary approaches to painting.

347 artists submitted 622 entries into the jury pool for the 2022 GNE. Of these entries, 143 works were accepted through an extensive jury process.

Mounting an exhibition on the scale of the Grand National requires a year of planning and is made possible through the volunteer efforts of a dedicated board of directors. A huge thank you is extended to the officers and staff of the Salmagundi Club for their assistance.

The board welcomes you hoping you leave with a renewed appreciation of artists working with realistic and representational approaches to their subjects.
